This Privacy Policy explains how StrikeSense (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the StrikeSense mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the App’s features. Types of information we may collect include:

• Venue selection data: The place or venue you choose within the App (for example, a bowling alley name or identifier). This is what we may store to associate preferences, saved venues, or history.
• Device-provided information: Information your device may provide to the App such as device model and operating system version for diagnostics (automatically and anonymously), if you opt into any analytics features.
• Contact information: Information you provide directly (for example, email) when you contact support or request account removal.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Enable core app functionality (for example, letting you select and save a venue).
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
• Respond to user requests and support inquiries.
• Diagnose issues and monitor performance (only if you opt into diagnostics or analytics).

3. Location Data

Summary (Apple-friendly): StrikeSense does NOT track users across apps or websites. Location access is used only to help users discover and select nearby venues. Exact GPS coordinates are not stored or shared.

How we use location

The App may request your device’s location permission to present nearby venue options. We use your device’s location only to:

• Show relevant nearby venues for selection.
• Center search or map results while you are actively using the feature.

What we store

We do not store your precise GPS coordinates. If you choose a venue (for example, a bowling alley), we may store that chosen venue’s identifier or name. That saved venue is not equivalent to storing your raw coordinates and is used only for app functionality (saved venues, preferences, or history).

Disabling location

You may disable location access for the App in your device settings. Disabling location may limit or disable features that rely on it.

4. Tracking & Advertising

Do we track? No — the App does not track you across apps or websites for advertising or profiling purposes.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share location data with advertisers. If you opt into analytics, any analytics data collected is either anonymized or collected in aggregate and is not used to re-identify you across other apps or services.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services (SDKs and hosting) to operate and improve features. These services have their own privacy policies and may collect information in accordance with their terms. Examples include:

• Expo — runtime, build, and optionally crash/diagnostic services. See Expo's terms and privacy documentation on expo.dev.
• Other third-party services (analytics, crash reporting, cloud hosting) — listed and linked in the App’s privacy page where applicable.

Note: If you wish to exclude data from any third-party analytics service, please contact us at the address below and we will assist where feasible.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes. If you request deletion, we will delete your personal data (subject to any legal retention requirements) — see “Your Rights” below.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal data (we will honor reasonable requests subject to legal or operational limits).
• Opt out of non-essential analytics or marketing communications.

8. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Effective date” at the top. If we make material changes that materially affect how we treat previously collected personal information, we will provide notice in the App or by email.
